The fourth Nairobi Ministry Training Course (NMTC 4), which started on 31st May 2009, ended succesfully on 5th June 2009...
We praise God for the succesful end of NMTC 4, and with the overall end of the series of four NMTCs which we conducted for the iServe Africa appretices during their year of service. It was an very full week in which we engaged various aspects of practical ministry and theological issues for the apprentices. We Pastor Edward of City Harvest Church, Nairobi, facilitated the daily morning devotions on "The Kingdom of God" from Matthew 5 - 7. Other sessions included Exploring Thrological Training, Exploring Missionary Service, and Exploring Ordained Ministry; Exploring Kingdom Agenda: Missions, Missions in Africa: Tracing the Timeline, Exploring Kingdom Values: Leadership, Contemporary Moral & Ethical Issues, Personal Finances, Marketplace Job Hunting, Simplicity, Money & Investments, Relationships and Marriage, and Transitions.
A couple of speakers shared their testimonies on their mission pilgrimage. These sessions proved very insightful as they offered the apprentices to see a little beyond the "official" lives of these key mission leaders who shared in a very vulnerable way. We also had each of the apprentices present summary findings of their Research Project Papers which were really rich in the various issues they explored.
NMTC 4 is the fourth and final of a series of four training modules that iServe Africa apprentices have to undertake as part of their development during their year of ministry. NMTC is also open to a few church lay-leaders who are interested in learning more about ministry and so if you are interested in attending the upcoming ones, please do get in touch. In the coming days we shall be reviewing the full course and exploring ways to make even richer for the next team of iServe Africa apprentices who are set to join us from September 2009. Please pray with us as we review and lay plans for the future of NMTC. Once again, thank you for praying with us during NMTC 4.
